3.0 Dice Rolls
General Rule
Players will often need to roll one or more dice. Their number and kind are specified using a code.
Detailed Rules
[3.1] A code consists of a digit, followed by the letter "K", followed by another digit. Sometimes one more digit is appended to this basic part of the code, e.g. 1K6+1. The first digit gives the number of dice to roll; the letter "K" simply means "die"; and the digit following it gives the kind of die (three- or six-sided). If a three-sided die roll is called for, roll a normal six-sided die and divide the result by two, rounding fractions up. The third digit is added to or subtracted from the number rolled. If the third digit is preceded by an "x", multiply the number rolled by that digit instead.
Example: 1K6x4 means you should roll one six-sided die and multiply the result by 4. 1K3+2 means you should roll one six-sided die, divide the result by two, and add 2 to the result obtained.
[3.2] On monster tiles, the above code is given in an abbreviated form. The first digit is always the number of six-sided dice to roll (always!), and the second should be added to the total rolled (e.g. 1+1 means the same as 1K6+1).
