11.0 Resisting Spells
General Rule
If a spell is cast on a character or monster, or a magic item is used against them, or a character examines certain finds, it may become necessary to attempt to resist that spell, and thereby negate its effects.
Procedure
Every character and every monster has a resistance stat. Whenever a spell may or must be resisted, the player rolls 1K6 and compares the number rolled to that stat, for whichever character or monster is resisting. If the number rolled is equal to or less than the resistance stat, the spell has been resisted, meaning the character (or monster) has defended against it, and it has no effect on them. A character's or monster's resistance may not exceed 5 points.
